Entertainment Manager
Harrison Leisure · Appleby-in-Westmorland, United Kingdom
We’re looking for an energetic, confident, and hands-on Entertainment Manager to bring Wild Rose Holiday Park to life. This is a dynamic role combining year-round event management, activity coordination, hosting, and hospitality team member duties.
Working closely with the Food & Beverage team, Head Office, and executive leadership, you will lead the park’s social calendar, create memorable experiences for our guests, and maintain high standards throughout the complex. You must be as comfortable working on the bar as you are planning events, running kids club or taking centre stage on the microphone.
Duties will include:
- Host live events, including bingo, quizzes, live entertainment, festivals, food events, children's activities, and seasonal celebrations
- Plan, coordinate, and execute the annual park events calendar to ensure a varied and engaging program focused on our many target customers.
- Manage all event bookings, ticketing, and guest enquiries efficiently
- Work hands-on behind the bar during busy shifts and key park events
- Collaborate with Head Office and Wild Rose Experience Team Members to align entertainment initiatives with wider company standards and goals
- Utilise internal platforms, specifically Smart Leisure Connect and Zonal, to manage schedules, stock, bookings, and reporting
- Support social media promotion and content creation to showcase events and activities
- Provide regular progress and operational reports directly to the Head of F&B and GM, Graeme Baker
- Maintain a visible, high-energy presence around the park to engage with homeowners and guests
- Upsell onsite leisure activities and seek opportunities to increase events/F+B revenue wherever possible.
- Ensure all entertainment areas and bar facilities remain safe, clean, and fully compliant with H&S guidelines
- Working with Head of F+B on large annual events.
A key element of this role involves close collaboration with Head Office. You will be responsible for operational accuracy within company software systems, including Smart Leisure Connect, ensuring seamless integration between event scheduling, sales, and administrative reporting.
Skills Required:
- Proven experience in holiday park entertainment, events coordination, hospitality, or leisure venues
- Strong bar operational experience with the ability to work comfortably under pressure
- Confident public speaker with experience hosting and using a microphone for large groups
- Proficiency with leisure or F+B management software
- Strong administrative skills and experience liaising directly with Head Office management
- Creative mindset with an eye for event planning, decoration, and social media content creation
- Excellent communication skills with a customer-first approach
- A team player who understands their contribution to a wider business.
- Proactive, enthusiastic, and flexible attitude toward working evenings, weekends, and holiday periods
Health and Safety:
At Harrison Leisure, safety is at the heart of everything we do. You will be expected to:
- Promote and maintain a safe, clean, and healthy working culture on site at all times
- Follow all company health and safety procedures, policies, and risk assessments
- Take responsibility for your own safety and that of colleagues, holiday homeowners, and park guests
- Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) whenever required
- Report all accidents, incidents, hazards, and near misses promptly to management
