In response to our ongoing AI transformation, we're looking for a Senior AI Software Engineer to own and administer the AI developer tools our engineers rely on every day. One important focus of this role is automation: building the tools and lightweight processes that let this way of working scale with us.

What we need you to do and be

Bring your ideas. Challenge ours. Grow with us.

- You'll own Enterprise AI tools for our 400+ person R&D organisation. Configuring them, managing access, monitoring usage, costs, and anomalies, and keeping them safe, reliable, and cost-efficient for the engineers who use them – and setting up the processes that do this automatically.

- You'll also spend part of your time working with our team developing and piloting new AI tools as our needs evolve.

- The rest of your time goes into automating and simplifying how we administer tools more broadly, and building lightweight governance, so the team can take on new tools without adding a big chunk of a role each time.

- You'll stay current on the fast-changing AI tooling landscape and bring well-reasoned recommendations to the team and organisation.

- You'll work with vendors, internal stakeholders in R&D Operations and Business IT, and the wider engineering community to make sure we're delivering what the organisation needs.

What you'll bring to the table

Our five values are our playbook. We speak up when things don't make sense. We stop doing what doesn't add value. We stay curious, back each other up, and make space for both innovation and laughter.

- A deep curiosity and interest in AI and enabling large scale organisations to benefit from AI.

- A developer or software engineering background, with hands-on experience setting up, administering and automating anything that can be automated in the administration process of AI tools, for example running your own Claude / Anthropic or OpenAI license, or administering a tool like GitHub Copilot or ChatGPT Enterprise for a team. This can be personal-scale experience or something you picked up informally.

- Technical depth: you understand how these tools actually work under the hood, not just as an end user.

- A self-management and entrepreneurial mindset. You take ownership, drive things forward without being told what to do, and are comfortable being the go-to expert on this domain within the team.

- Ability and willingness to build structure and lightweight governance in an ambiguous, fast-moving environment.

- People skills to navigate stakeholders and develop the vendor management side of the role over time.

- Comfortable using AI in your everyday work and driving the use of AI tools and automation as part of a broader organisational strategy.

- Fluent in written and spoken English.

- Nice to have: experience working with an international team, along with strong communication and organisational skills.

What we offer in return

You'll be supported and given the space to thrive. We offer meaningful work, flexibility, and a culture that backs you to share your voice and be authentic.

- A front-row seat to where software development is heading, at a company that has fully committed to its AI transformation.

- Real strategic ownership: you decide how our AI tools are administered, configured, automated and evolve. This isn't a support function.

- An international career and learning opportunities.

- A financially stable, fast-growing software company with long-term career growth opportunities.

- Flexibility in how and where you work.

- Practical benefits that support work, family, wellness, and everyday life.

- A diverse, inclusive, and supportive work culture.

- Ownership, autonomy, and flat hierarchies.
