Dental Hygienist – The Dental Surgery, Central London
The Dental Surgery is a leading fully private dental practice located at The Corn Exchange in London, offering a modern, supportive and specialist-led environment.
We are looking for a highly experienced and enthusiastic Dental Hygienist, ideally with 5+ years of clinical experience, to join our established team.
This role would suit a confident, capable clinician who is passionate about preventive and periodontal care, enjoys working within a busy private practice and is comfortable working independently when required.

The Role
The successful candidate will be an experienced and confident Hygienist, providing high-quality preventive and periodontal care within a busy and established private practice.
We are ideally looking for a hygienist with at least five years’ clinical experience, including experience working within private dentistry. You should be confident managing your own clinical sessions, delivering excellent patient care and working autonomously when necessary.
Although nursing support is available across the hygiene team, a dental nurse will not always be available to work alongside the hygienist for every session. The successful candidate must therefore be comfortable and confident working independently from time to time, while maintaining high clinical standards and following appropriate practice protocols.
The practice has a strong focus on periodontal care, with a dedicated Perio Lead and specialist services available on site. This provides an excellent opportunity to work within a specialist-led environment and collaborate with experienced clinicians.
Working Days and Hours
We are looking for a clinician who can work:
- Monday
- Tuesday
- Thursday
The practice ideally operates between 7:00am and 7:00pm, although there is flexibility around start and finish times.
Qualifications and Experience
- GDC-registered Dental Hygienist
- Ideally a minimum of five years’ clinical experience
- Previous experience working within a private dental practice
- Confident providing routine hygiene and periodontal care
- Able to manage clinical sessions independently when nursing support is unavailable
- Excellent clinical, communication and organisational skills
- A professional, caring and patient-centred approach
- Commitment to providing high-quality clinical care
- Comfortable working as part of a large, collaborative clinical team
The Practice
The Dental Surgery is an established and highly experienced private practice with 15 dentists, including specialists across a range of disciplines, alongside a team of 11 hygienists.
The practice has excellent clinical facilities, with 15 air-conditioned surgeries, modern equipment and strong nursing support across the team.
Hygienists are supported by a dedicated team, with three support staff available across the hygiene team. However, nursing support is shared, so the ability to work confidently and independently when required is essential.
The practice also offers on-site periodontal services, providing an excellent environment for hygienists with a particular interest in periodontal care.
Location and Transport
The Dental Surgery is located at The Corn Exchange in central London, offering excellent transport links.
Tower Hill and Monument Underground Stations are within easy walking distance, with Fenchurch Street Station also nearby. There are excellent bus connections too.
Please note that there is no on-site parking at the practice.
