ABOUT THE ROLE
Join the backend team building a no-code platform that helps customers activate data directly from their warehouses. This senior, product-minded role combines distributed systems engineering with customer-focused product development.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Improve warehouse query performance through optimizations such as pre-computed state and warehouse-specific improvements.
- Build analytics and experimentation features that help customers create audiences, choose data to sync, and measure downstream performance.
- Explore real-time audience computation and syncing as data warehouses adopt change data capture technologies.
- Investigate ways generative AI can make customer data workflows more seamless.
- Contribute to architecture and product specifications, and incorporate customer feedback into backend solutions.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Six or more years of backend engineering experience, including designing and building backend systems at high-growth technology companies.
- Strong backend and distributed systems fundamentals, with sound judgment around scalability, maintainability, and reliability.
- Experience building product-focused systems and a willingness to engage with users and act on their feedback.
- Strong communication skills, curiosity, and an ability to learn quickly and take on new challenges.
- A background in software engineering beyond data engineering or DevOps, with experience using modern technologies.
- A degree in computer science, mathematics, electrical engineering, or a related field, or equivalent fundamentals.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Base salary: $180,000 to $320,000 USD annually. Visa sponsorship is available.
