ABOUT THE ROLE
Join a close-knit law firm as a Litigation Associate handling general defense litigation, primarily premises liability. This is a growth-oriented role with mentorship and direct collaboration with senior attorneys.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Manage a full caseload of defense matters from inception through resolution.
- Conduct and defend depositions.
- Represent clients in court appearances, mediations, and settlement conferences.
- Work with senior attorneys on trial preparation, case strategy, and client communications.
- Draft pleadings, discovery, motions, and case strategy documents.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Two to seven years of defense litigation experience at a law firm, including management of a full caseload.
- Experience appearing before judges, attending court conferences, and navigating New York City and Long Island courts.
- Deposition experience, including conducting and defending depositions.
- A J.D. from an accredited law school and admission to the New York Bar.
- Experience with premises liability or general negligence matters is helpful.
- A collaborative approach and interest in a mentorship-oriented team.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Base salary is $125,000 to $165,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is not available.
LOCATION
Hybrid role based in New York City, with an in-office onboarding period and flexible hybrid work afterward. The position serves matters in New York City and Long Island.
