Piping Designer

Job Overview:
The role is for Piping Designer with responsibility for plant layout and piping design for Onshore Oil & Gas, LNG, and Renewables Industry projects. The work includes conceptual studies, FEEDs, estimates, detail design, and construction support.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Utilize design system for the production of basic piping design deliverables
- Generate bulk material take offs for piping materials
- Maintains and promotes a focus on McDermott end product during engineering, fabrication and construction
- Effectively communicates with other engineering disciplines
- Ensures effective management of change
- Assumes responsible for cost, schedule, quantity and budget control
- Coordinate with supporting offices
- Identify potential changes
- Provide schedule and progress updates
Essential Qualifications and Education:
- High School Diploma
- Proficient in current engineering design and drafting and software packages including Aveva E3D
- 2 – 10 years of piping design experience in modeling and drafting
- Strong communication skills and professional ethics
Preferred Qualifications and Education:
- Some college or associates degree preferred
