AI Personalized Learning that works alongside human teachers in schools, universities, and global companies. With an AI-driven curriculum, personal AI tutor, and AI teaching assistant, we deliver proven results at scale.
Recently added to the TIME’s 2026 TIME100’s Most Influential Companies list, we have extremely ambitious growth plans and are looking for highly talented, motivated people to help fuel them. A career with us offers the scale of a global organization with the pace, purpose, and energy of a fast-growing business. We look for thinkers and doers who are excited to help us shape the future of education.
The role
Efekta is looking for a senior leader to map the terrain globally starting with Central Asia, the Middle East, Africa and Europe: the political landscape, procurement calendars, which budget line will fund us, and donor activity. You will qualify countries, not leads.
You will transform implementation experience, including pilots, into policy influence, remove the barriers to moving forward, and build partnerships that last. This is a central role, distinctly different from our regional Business Development Managers.
Core mission
To identify, develop and accelerate government growth opportunities by translating implementation success into policy influence, financing opportunities and long-term national partnerships. Specifically, you will give hands-on help to fit Efekta into existing budgets in our target countries.
You will be the strategic interface between, and support to, Sales, Government Relations, Product and Delivery, making sure country implementation generates measurable policy traction and scalable business opportunities.
Key responsibilities
1. Market intelligence: map the terrain and qualify countries
- Monitor education reform agendas and national digital transformation strategies.
- Map ministerial priorities and decision-making structures.
- Track procurement cycles and budget processes.
- Identify upcoming opportunities linked to elections, reforms, national strategies and international commitments.
- Develop country opportunity assessments and prioritisation frameworks across Central Asia, the Middle East, Africa and Europe.
2. Funding intelligence: find the budget line and the financing
- Help teams fit Efekta into the right budget line in each target country.
- Track GPE, World Bank, UNESCO, UNICEF and bilateral donor activity, alongside the regional development banks and EU instruments active in our priority markets.
- Identify funding windows and financing mechanisms.
- Support the development of country-specific financing strategies.
- Connect government demand with available financing instruments.
3. From implementation to policy influence
- Analyse results and lessons emerging from country implementations, including pilots.
- Extract evidence, case studies and policy-relevant insights.
- Develop policy narratives for ministers, development partners and international organisations that fit Efekta into the right budget line.
- Position successful country experiences as models for replication and scale.
- Support Government Relations through evidence-based policy engagement.
4. B2G opportunity development
- Work alongside Sales and Government Relations on strategic opportunities.
- Contribute to engagement plans for priority countries.
- Support the development of proposals and partnership concepts.
5. Internal strategic coordination
- Act as key liaison between Sales, Product, Delivery and Government Relations.
- Ensure implementation insights inform market strategy.
- Ensure country intelligence informs product roadmap discussions.
- Support executive decision-making through strategic analysis and forecasting.
Ideal candidate profile
You excel at connecting practice, policy and political decision-making, as many senior leaders from the UN system and multilateral organizations do.
Essential
- 10+ years of experience at international level.
- Senior experience within the UN system, multilateral organizations, development banks or government.
- Strong understanding of education policy and public sector reform.
- Direct experience engaging with ministries and senior government officials.
- Excellent strategic writing and analytical skills.
- Experience converting operational evidence into policy recommendations.
Highly desirable
- Experience with UNESCO, UNICEF, the World Bank, USAID, GPE, the OECD or a regional development bank.
- Experience working with governments in Central Asia, the Middle East, Africa or Europe.
- Experience in government financing and procurement ecosystems.
- An existing international network of policymakers and development partners.
- Experience in digital transformation and AI in education.
Why join Efekta
- Impact at national scale. Your work decides whether millions of students get access to better learning.
- A rare bridge role. Use your policy and multilateral experience to build something, not just advise on it.
- Influence at the top. Work directly with the executive team and shape where the company goes next.
- Proof to build on. You start with real implementations and results, not a slide deck.
