Job Description:
As R&D Senior Specialist at Mars, you will lead and support research projects (from scoping and design phase to handover for further deployment) within the microbial risk management research program, including but not limited to applications of bioinformatics and whole genomic sequencing enabled technologies.
What are we looking for?
Degree in Food Science, Food Engineering, Food Chemistry or Biochemistry or related field
Professional knowledge of raw material, recipe / formulation, manufacturing processes in a relevant field
Excellent interpersonal skills, e.g., communication, relationship building, networking, teamwork
What will be your key responsibilities?
Ensure compliance with the research governance process and knowledge management practices (e.g. charters, project initiation forms (PIFs)) and providing metrics to measure and report on the progress of research projects
Deliver the research plan through work conducted within Mars owned facilities and in collaboration with academic institutes
Responsible for recommending, implementing, and commissioning laboratory equipment and standards to deliver against the research program requirements
Maintain core research competencies pertaining to microbial risk management program
Collaborate with partners to ensure delivery of research goals in a timely fashion
