Location:

This is a fully on-site opportunity in Inverness, Illinois, offering close collaboration with our team and hands-on involvement in client matters. Remote work is not available.

Note:

Candidates must be licensed to practice law in Illinois. Experience in property tax, real estate, or administrative law is preferred but not required, and bilingual English/Spanish ability is a plus.

Job Description

- Analyze residential, income-producing, owner-occupied, commercial, and industrial properties to identify opportunities for assessment appeals

- Draft persuasive briefs, supporting evidence, complaints, and other materials for property tax appeals

- Manage administrative appeal matters while keeping filings, evidence, and deadlines organized and accurate

- Communicate directly with clients to provide recommendations, gather necessary information, answer questions, and explain the appeal process

- Assist with appeal filings and preparation of supporting documentation at multiple administrative levels

- Evaluate property information involving new construction, renovations, income-producing assets, and other valuation considerations

- Handle confidential client information with sound judgment and professionalism

- Shift priorities effectively in a client-focused environment where matters and deadlines can change quickly

Qualifications

- Active Illinois bar license

- Strong written and verbal communication skills

- Sound judgment and ability to handle confidential information

- Highly motivated, organized, proactive, and comfortable taking initiative

- Property tax, real estate, administrative law, or related legal experience preferred

- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred

- Microsoft Access experience is a plus
