What You Will Do:
As a Sales and Marketing Associate, you will help prospective residents and their families explore the lifestyle, services, and amenities offered at Riverview Retirement Community. You will build relationships, respond to inquiries, conduct community tours, follow up with prospective residents, and support outreach efforts that help grow awareness and occupancy.
Working alongside our sales, marketing, and community teams, you will learn the fundamentals of the senior living sales process while helping families navigate an important life decision. This position offers the opportunity to develop valuable professional skills in sales, customer service, marketing, and community engagement.
Job Responsibilities
Sales and Relationship Building
- Develop positive relationships with prospective residents, families, and community partners.
- Respond to inquiries, follow up with prospective residents, and help guide individuals through the sales process.
- Conduct engaging tours of the Riverview campus, highlighting our living options, services, programs, and amenities.
- Learn to identify prospective residents' needs and connect them with the appropriate living options.
- Maintain accurate records of inquiries, contacts, tours, and follow-up activities in the sales tracking system.
- Partner with the sales team to support occupancy goals and deliver an exceptional customer experience.
Marketing and Community Outreach
- Assist with developing and implementing outreach strategies to increase awareness of Riverview Retirement Community.
- Build connections with local businesses, healthcare professionals, community organizations, and other potential referral partners.
- Represent Riverview at community events, networking opportunities, and off-site activities.
- Assist with preparing marketing materials, presentations, and promotional activities.
- Support the planning and coordination of events that showcase Riverview's campus, services, and lifestyle.
- Identify creative ways to engage prospective residents and strengthen Riverview's presence in the community.
Customer Service and Resident Engagement
- Provide a warm, welcoming, and professional experience to prospective residents, families, and campus visitors.
- Help individuals and families understand the services, amenities, and lifestyle opportunities available at Riverview.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely communication and a smooth transition from initial inquiry to residency.
- Participate in campus events and activities that highlight the Riverview experience.
- Demonstrate compassion, professionalism, and respect when working with older adults and their families.
- Perform other assigned duties as needed to support the success of the sales and marketing team.
Job Requirements:
- Recent college graduate or early-career professional interested in developing a career in sales, marketing, business development, hospitality, or customer relations.
- Associate or bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Sales, Hospitality, Communications, or a related field preferred.
- Previous sales, customer service, hospitality, retail, or community involvement experience is a plus; professional sales experience is not required.
- Strong verbal, written, telephone, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Positive attitude, professional presence, and genuine enthusiasm for building relationships.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Comfortable learning new technology and software, including Microsoft Office applications.
- Willingness to learn sales strategies, outreach techniques, and customer relationship management systems.
- Self-motivated, dependable, and eager to take initiative while working collaboratively with a team.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate sound judgment and integrity.
- Interest in senior living and a desire to make a meaningful difference in the lives of older adults and their families.
