We are looking for builders and owners who operate with speed and urgency and execute with excellence.
Overview:
SailPoint is setting the standard for modern identity security, enabling the world's most complex enterprises to seamlessly manage and secure access to applications, data, and infrastructure through the lens of identity .
We are seeking a strategic Director of Communications to cut through the noise and demonstrate how SailPoint is solving critical identity challenges across all enterprise identities—human, machine, and AI agents. This is a pivotal time for SailPoint, and this leader will play a crucial role in expanding our market leadership as we guide organizations through the 5 Horizons of Identity Security toward an intelligent, autonomous future.
As our Director of Communications, you will lead the global team responsible for explaining how SailPoint is securing the future of enterprise technology through impactful corporate, product and ecosystem partner communication efforts. Reporting to the SVP of Corporate Marketing, you will manage internal and agency teams, lead key comms initiatives, and ensure we execute modern, digital-first communications campaigns.
We are looking for someone who can easily grasp complex technical cybersecurity concepts and translate them into stories that help the market understand why SailPoint is the core of the modern security stack.

What You’ll Do:
- Act as a steward of SailPoint’s corporate narrative, ensuring it evolves alongside our strategy, market position, and growth trajectory

- Cross-Functional PR Integration: Collaborate closely with Product, Product Marketing, and Partner Marketing teams to translate innovations, integrations and product launches into communications that articulate benefits and outcomes to ensure these narratives resonate with our key stakeholders: media, industry and financial analysts, customers, partners, and our global employee base.
- High-Impact Public Relations Campaigns: Plan, resource, and execute modern, digital-first PR campaigns centered on critical milestones, major product launches, key industry events (e.g., SailPoint Navigate), and strategic company moments to consistently capture market share and solidify SailPoint’s category leadership.

Use this platform to elevate company spokespeople, host prominent industry guests, and drive engaging discussions on modern identity security, AI risks, and zero-trust security strategies.
- Executive & Spokesperson Enablement: Act as a principal PR point of contact and media coach for C-level executives. Prepare leaders for interviews ensuring they convey key narratives with authority and clarity.
- Measure, analyze and report: Analytics are key. Report on the effectiveness of corporate communications programs, using insights and data to inform strategy and demonstrate business impact, maintaining high standards of quality and execution.

- Executive Presence: Comfortable challenging and coaching executives on their communication style, key messaging delivery, and media presence.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, or Marketing; an advanced degree is preferred but not required.
