Helpdesk Support Officer
Full-time | Permanent | Monday to Friday
Salary: School Officer, Level 4, $77,753 per annum
Are you the person people go to when their tech isn't working - and love being the one who sorts it out?
Trinity Lutheran College is a Prep to Year 12 Christian co-educational College on the Gold Coast, where exceptional teaching, authentic relationships and a commitment to helping every student flourish are at the heart of everything we do.
We are looking for a Helpdesk Support Officer, who approaches problems with curiosity, brings compassion and patience to every person they help, takes ownership of tickets through to resolution, and builds genuine relationships across our school community.
About the role
Reporting to our ICT Manager, with day-to-day guidance from our ICT Systems Administrator, the Helpdesk Support Officer is the first point of contact for technology support across the College. In this role you’ll be the friendly, knowledgeable face of ICT for staff, students and families, diagnosing and resolving issues, setting up and maintaining devices, and making sure every request is handled with care and followed through to the end.
This is a role we're hiring for attitude as much as technical skill. We need someone who listens well, explains things simply and kindly, knows when to solve a problem themselves and when to escalate it, and takes genuine pride in helping people feel confident with the technology they use every day.
Who we’re looking for
You'll demonstrate the ability to:
- Respond to and manage helpdesk tickets with curiosity and initiative, finding lasting fixes rather than quick workarounds.
- Provide exceptional, compassionate customer service to staff, students and families, explaining technical matters simply and kindly.
- Take ownership of devices and equipment across their lifecycle - from set-up and deployment through to repair and return.
- Build genuine, trusted relationships with colleagues across both campuses.
- Keep clear, accurate records and contribute to knowledge-base articles that help the whole ICT team.
- Actively support the Christian ethos and values of Trinity Lutheran College.
